Affiliate networks offer you access to multiple (and by multiple, we mean hundreds if not thousands) of individual affiliate programs. They basically work by simplifying the signup process - instead of applying to become an affiliate for a each product you want to promote, you simply apply to join the network and instantly have access to hundreds of different affiliate offers.

A challenge with a lead-based commission structure is fraud prevention. If the form is easy to complete and the payout high enough, a dishonest affiliate can determine ways to auto-fill that form and collect commission on bogus leads. To prevent this, you would need a dedicated affiliate manager to police the quality of inbound leads. Warning signs include multiple leads originating from the same IP address, or patterns in data entry such as spelling variations on a single name — such as “Jonathan Smith,” “Jon Smith,” and “J. E. Website conversion is also a big issue. This is one of the important strategies. Generating the leads and the challenge is when you have met to target and that a particular lead needs. Rather than having some random leads to fill up the position in commission it becomes more important to check whether that lead is helping you out in reaching your goal.

To a super affiliate owning a good email list a guarantee of having good income. Yes, you can make sales off of your blog and when you speak at conferences, but these have far lower response rates. It’s easy to put your blog URL and Twitter handle on a convention projection screen and use you blog to gain followers. Then use the blog to encourage email sign-ups. Once you have somebody’s email address, each blog posts primes the pump, especially insider ideas and success stories. Readers expect super affiliates to sell in most posts, so when you don’t, ironically, you can come across as being more genuine. That builds trust which puts readers at ease about giving you their email.
Under most affiliate marketing arrangements, advertisers only pay for converted leads. There is basically no way they can lose money or get a negative ROI with this marketing method. In the beginning phases of your affiliate marketing campaign, I recommend reviewing all applications so that you have more control over where your brand is being promoted. If you’ve posted your offer and have not found much success using the network’s existing membership base, this is where your expertise of your industry comes into play. Going back to the IT company example: Maybe they frequently work with restaurants in the area. They could let the restaurant know about this new opportunity, and the restaurant could join the affiliate network as an affiliate.
