A lead magnet (a.k.a. an optin bribe) is something amazing that you give away for free in exchange for an email address. This doesn’t have to cost you anything to create; most lead magnets are digital materials like PDFs, MP3 audio files, or videos that you can create yourself at minimal or no cost. It can be absolutely anything you want, so long as it provides value to your visitors for free.

Affiliate marketing can give a merchant access to an army of virtual salespeople, but many affiliates generate few, if any, actual results. A super affiliate might account for more results than hundreds or thousands of smaller affiliates combined. Partnering with a super affiliate allows affiliate managers to spend less time on administrative duties and more time on generating results.

For example, building up a big base of traffic won’t deliver much of a reward if you’re working with the wrong affiliate offers. Similarly, doing a great job marketing the ideal offers to an extremely small traffic base won’t translate into much revenue. A call to action (CTA) is a word or phrase that encourages readers and subscribers to do something specific. Examples of calls to action include “subscribe”, “shop now”, “get the free ebook”. You use CTAs on email signup forms, landing pages, in email newsletters, and more. When someone does what you want as a result of your call to action, that’s called a conversion. In email marketing, a conversion often means following a link in a email newsletter to visit another resource.

That’s when you sign-up and sell the product to your own email list and to your blog readers. Sell hard. If you make enough sales the product creator will likely notice, even if he or she doesn’t contact you directly. This is the time to reach out. Contact the clan member and strike-up a conversation. In person is best so try to arrange a meeting at a conference you will both attend or just fly to wherever the super affiliate lives. If you must, email can work too, but it’s not as personal. Show the super affiliate clan member your own product and describe your launch plans, your own email list and the commissions you plan to offer during your exclusive period for select affiliates. Invite him or her to become a select affiliate, ask for advice and ask if there are other important affiliate sellers who will be interested in your upcoming product.
