Solo ads are a form of advertisement where emails are sent out to an email subscriber list. Of course, this costs money and it is not the most efficient way to promote a product. You can’t know in advance how many of the emails will be opened and many times these email lists are low-quality. You are also not the only one sending emails to that list. Although you can make sales with Solo ads you can also end up losing a lot of money.
A sound product strategy is a must for new affiliate marketers. Ideally, you should choose a niche that you can make money online with and has a lot of product vendors. This will give you a wide selection of products to offer your online community. However, limit yourself to two or three products at a time, so that you become the expert others turn to and trust when reaching for their wallet.

Once you have a large enough email list made-up of quality addresses you can demonstrate your value to the super affiliate clan of your choice. When a clan member launches a product there will be a period of aggressive promotion from all of the clan. This happens because all of the clan members are selling within an exclusive period when only they get commissions. After the initial launch, but usually while the product is still new, its creator will open up sales to any affiliate. That’s when you sign-up and sell the product to your own email list and to your blog readers. Sell hard. If you make enough sales the product creator will likely notice, even if he or she doesn’t contact you directly. This is the time to reach out. Contact the clan member and strike-up a conversation. In person is best so try to arrange a meeting at a conference you will both attend or just fly to wherever the super affiliate lives. If you must, email can work too, but it’s not as personal. Show the super affiliate clan member your own product and describe your launch plans, your own email list and the commissions you plan to offer during your exclusive period for select affiliates. Invite him or her to become a select affiliate, ask for advice and ask if there are other important affiliate sellers who will be interested in your upcoming product.

A call to action (CTA) is a word or phrase that encourages readers and subscribers to do something specific. Examples of calls to action include “subscribe”, “shop now”, “get the free ebook”. You use CTAs on email signup forms, landing pages, in email newsletters, and more. When someone does what you want as a result of your call to action, that’s called a conversion. In email marketing, a conversion often means following a link in a email newsletter to visit another resource.
One huge red flag is any company that promises you a “get rich quick” marketing strategy. Although affiliate marketing can be good money, it’s by no means instantaneous. Stay away from anything that sounds too good to be true. Also, stay away from any merchant that wants to charge you startup costs. Additionally, use established affiliate programs to find your merchants. Read reviews and ask around. You’re not the only person trying to supplement income with this marketing strategy, so there are plenty of other professionals with whom to crowdsource.
Write great subject lines. David Ogilvy once said that 80 cents of your dollar should be spent on writing headlines. With emails, the subject line is just as important. If it doesn’t catch your attention, you won’t open it. So, spend the majority of your time writing and polishing your subject line. A great email subject line entices curiosity about the content of the email. It’s also personal, and highly relevant to the recipient. 4. Sales incentives. Structure your commission rates so that you have additional margin to offer sales incentives. For example, perhaps you are launching a new product line and you want affiliates to focus their marketing efforts on it. If you have room in your commission structure, you can offer a temporary increase — or perhaps sales bonuses — for hitting established revenue targets. I addressed sales incentives here previously, in “Affiliate Marketing: 3 Incentives to Drive Sales.”

This is marketed as fully loaded with valuable information that helps in putting together money-spinning sales funnel for empowering your business. The members then need to take up a quiz. The results of the quiz would be notified to a business coach who would make contact with the member and ensure that he gets a grasp of the information conveyed in the video. This is not something hard to find on the internet and you don’t need to spend money for this purpose. So why would you pay for something that can be found for free?

If you would like to take a more subtle approach, include a product or service from your company that relates into your blog post. For example, let’s say that you are a wine connoisseur and that is what your blog is based around. In any post that is enticing your readers to open up a good bottle of Merlot or what have you, it would be wise to embed an ad for a quality, easy-to-use wine opener, wine glasses or stoppers that keep the wine fresh.
Once you acquire a customer through an affiliate, you can then market directly to that customer going forward. It’s important to figure out the lifetime value of your customer as that can also help you decide what commission to pay. With this information you can decide if your acquisition costs are correct or you may decide to be more aggressive with payouts to get those customers in the door.
